Since its 1981 inception, BASE jumping besides the obvious meaning, stands for Building – Antenna – Span – Earth. The name itself represents the things and places that BASE jumpers are able to launch off of. The member of this organization have expressed condolences to the 248 base jumping fatalities since BASE was founded.
The base jumpers seen on this GoPro flick are Jean Wallis, and Andy Hunt.
According to Jean Wallis, he and his friends have an agreement with the building owners to go play there and practice our sport. Well isn’t that super cool! Jean has over 1,800 jumps under his chute so be sure to watch more of his crazy epic vids.
