This ultra-versatile mount, GoPro 3-Way, can be used three main ways: as a camera grip, extension arm or tripod. The folding arm is perfect for POV or follow-cam footage, and makes it easy to capture selfies without the mount appearing in the shot. When detached from the arm, the handle doubles as a camera grip.
Stored inside the handle is a lightweight, mini tripod that can be removed and used on its own or combined with the handle. Expands to 20” (50.8cm), collapses to 7.5” (19cm).

Since the 3-Way already has the correct GoPro attachment on it, it is easy to angle the camera just how you want it rather than it being perpendicular to the grip. Overall though, the camera grip’s main utility is in being part of the modular package with the extension arm and tripod.
The Good
GoPro knows that having spent money on its cameras, people will always want the mounts to allow them to use them to their full capability.
The Bad
The case for the grip and the tripod is not quite so clear-cut. Both of these functions are already addressed by existing third party offerings.
The Ugly
The entire product is made of thin plastic. The part that seems the weakest is the tripod. I have seen other similar tripods that are made of aluminum, this one is not.
