Pro-surfer Chloé Calmon and her father, Miguel, surf off the shores of Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

MORE ON GOPRO

Miguel taught Chloé everything about surfing, and now the student has become the master.  She is an emerging Brazilian longboarder in her 20s taking the world by storm. The World Surf League ranked her as the 3rd best female longboarder in the world in 2014 and again in 2015. Her classic surfing style and positive personality make her a perfect fit for Sticky Bumps and we are excited to have her on our World Elite Team.

Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro

There is no going to Barra without heading to the beach. Wider, longer and whiter than its more famous counterparts in the south zone, these beaches are the perfect way to spend a lazy day sunbathing before taking a dip in the cooler waters. Barra’s beaches tend to be much less crowded than Copacabana, allowing beachgoers to relax in peace while cooling down with a cold drink in any of the kiosks dotted alongside the sandy shores.

Chloé Calmon and the World of Surf

In addition to surfing the world, Chloé is also involved in multiple shows for both the internet and TV. Most notably, she has multiple series on Canal Off, a Brazilian cable TV channel featuring action sports videos and stories. “Noronha Por Elas” is a 13 episode series on the Brazilian island of Fernando de Noronha, adding a new location to our list of dream surf vacation spots. Another show on the channel, “Nove Pés”, also has 13 episodes, this time documenting longboarding around the world (California, Costa Rica, Peru and Brazil).
