The GoPro World Longboard Championships finished with a big Aussie bang.

Presented by Wanning (WLC), the competition happened in China for Men and Women at Hainan Island off the far south coast of China. Riyue Bay, chosen as the surf spot, a consistent reef break lying on Hainan Island’s east coast.

Surrounded by the lush tropical plants, the warm waters and A-form waves have proved worthy of hosting the world’s best longboard surfers for the past 3 years.  Champions took home a purse prize of $100,000 USD and the coveted ASP World Longboard Title for 2014.

  • Harley Ingleby (AUS) defeated Phil Rajzman (BRA)
  • Ingleby claims his second ASP World Longboard Title at the GoPro World Longboard Championships

  • Chelsea Williams (AUS) has defeated Kelia Moniz (HAW) to claim her first ASP Women’s World Longboard Title
