In 2013, a white-tailed eagle bearing a GoPro HD Hero circled the French Alps. The vid went viral – that epic moment still resonates in every GoPro fanatic.
According to Head of Production, Wil Tidman, GoPro wants to show the cameras’ diverse uses. Tidman’s operation at GoPro is 40+ members strong. Its new app and software, released in 2013 along with the Hero3+ camera, make it steadfast for users to edit and share online.
Since the augural eagle POV, GoPro released another high flying bird on YouTube late September 2014. This time, the video highlights David De Vleeschauwer and Debbie Pappyn who travel to Mongolia to capture the point of view of a golden eagle as he soars over the Altai Mountains.
