5 Ways to Celebrate the Holidays on GoPro

The holidays just got better with your GoPro. Find out what we have to say about opti...

With the departure of veteran Apple industrial designer Daniel Coster, GoPro gains an integral cog member of Apple’s design team for more than 21 years.

Needless to say, the industrial design team is Apple’s idea factory, the place where big ideas take shape and morph into tangible products we know and love.

Neat fact: Most of the 19 members of the team were recruited in the mid- to late-1990s.

According to GoPro, Coster will help “influence all aspects of design at GoPro”.

The company went as far as including both hardware and software under Coster’s direction. His departure from Apple is significant not only because GoPro gained an invaluable asset, but Apple’s recent release of the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2 proved to be underwhelming.  Apple’s just-launched iOS 10 update got off to a rough start. According to widespread complaints across social media, many iPhone and iPad users ran into installation problems.

In terms of the Session itself, the camera is a powerful device with a reasonable price tag.  If size and weight are crucial parts of your decision, the Session is worth a look. If you’re after something for more general shooting, you’re probably better off with one of the other cameras in the lineup like the Silver, HERO+ LCD, or Black.
