For a while Ry was out of the Transworld Surf scene. Where did he go? The truth is, Ry didn’t go anywhere. He’s still doing his thing, living a humble life in North Western Australia, where he gets barreled off his rocker every day, fishes for sustenance, and drinks beer while exploring the vast, wild coast of Western Australia. Sounds like a goddamn dream, right? Ry’s adventurous, self-effacing perspective on life embodies what true a surfer should be, and it’s one that all of us should aspire to possess. And although he never really left, ladies and gentlemen, Ry Craike is back.
