The Good

Strong opinions for a strong sack that is deemed up there in terms of quality with rival companies like Incase, and Thule. Buyers will find the price point comparable with the competitors. The suggested retail price is $169.99 which is not going to move people to buy it right away because it’s not cheap but neither is the competition. The Seeker is constructed with high quality materials and it is obvious the product is designed for GoPro users. The top compartment for the GoPro cameras is weather proof, while the inner linings support up to a 2L bladder for water storage.

Designers of the Seeker had great intentions for users to carry a ton of GoPro gear. Even when most GoPro items are small, it is a nice touch to be able to carry up to five HERO cameras in the dedicated camera compartment.  Even then, you really can bundle the bag with way more cameras if you are not obsessive about neatness and organization.  Laptop users will also be delighted to find straps that hold down computer devices.  On filming days, the Seeker would serve as the ultimate back pack like an all-in-one expedition toolkit.

As for the exterior there are straps to place the removable GoPro mount so users can put in four different locations – left to right strap, also the low to high strap. The straps have built in attachment points allowing you to attach the included Chesty mount for more stable footage.

The Seeker’s most distinctive feature is the purpose built 3-Way straps. On the side you can strap a 3-Way and makes way for some awesome third person perspectives.

You can also hold a pretty large water bottle on the side opposite to the 3-Way. The rear of the bag has two mounting locations where you can strap to the helmet mount for a rear facing shot. This would be good for catching your friends while riding if you’re in front, or even take the place of a seat post mount.

The Bad

Whilst the Seeker is priced a little steep, it isn’t completely outrageous to afford such a diversified GoPro designed apparatus. The product is expensive because of the materials and abundance of mounts being provided, and it is understandable that most consumers won’t be spending that kind of money without thinking twice.  We’re speculating that the price could drop to $100 to $125 in the future, and many more people would be in the market for the Seeker.

Performance wise this is the perfect bag for mountain biking or even for trekking.  However, you just have to be aware of any camera shake as the mounts can be very unstable when moving abruptly. The straps have hooks that let you quickly remove the 3-Way which we truly enjoyed, but does not guarantee stability.  The Chesty mount on the front makes a big difference when hiking, as a result it’s second nature to simply recommend using that instead of the strap mounts.

Conclusion

Overall, our team at Ace thinks that the Seeker is pretty awesome. Expensive but while looking at the alternatives we think the price point is comparable to the other products in the market. What’s missing is the internal bladder, and if this pack came with one we would have given this review full ratings.
