According to a U.S Patent Application that was published on June 23, 2016 the filing was made under a mechanical engineer in the Aerial Products division of GoPro Inc.  The interesting part about the patent pending drone design is the ability to tuck in the propellers into the main rectangular body of the drone. This ultimately protects the mechanical appendages from external objects that may cause damage to the drone. GoPro’s KARMA drone may be inspired from this patent pending drone. The secrecy has heightened the interest of the drone, PatentYogi told GoPro Ace.

Chatter about the upcoming KARMA has been widespread, including the negative remarks coming from business analysts in stock markets.  In recent market news, famed investor Wilbur Ross who is known for making millions by restructuring ace-in-the-hole companies has ditched all 43,000 units of GoPro shares.  Let it be known that top institutional investors have also been reducing their exposure and about 117 investors have decreased their positions in excess of 15.74 million shares.

“While we had to make the difficult decision to delay our drone, KARMA, the upside is that KARMA’s launch should now benefit from the holidays.” – GoPro Spokesperson

Many analysts believe that the cause for such decline of investment is due to the dwindling demand for GoPro’s action cameras, and cheaper devices with more features are flooding the wearable tech market.

There are believers that the KARMA will turn heads and pick up where the GoPro brand left off. There are big expectations this year for GoPro, and that could mean even bigger disappointments if the company does not meet tomorrow’s technological relevance.
