MORE ON GOPRO

On a recent trip to Hawaii, Limefuel CEO, Paul Lin, realized his GoPro camera was not able to fully capture all his adventures due to the low capacity battery. While driving through the beautiful mountains of Maui, he had to keep switching out GoPro batteries, therefore, missing some epic moments! He also had to carry multiple batteries with him each day and remember to charge them every night. Call it a moment of epiphany – the team at Limefuel set out on a journey to change the GoPro HERO.

According to Limefuel, they have tested various battery configurations combining the front piece that fits into the camera with different back pieces until achieving an acceptable combination of physical size and capacity. Taking into consideration the raw material available, there are no hang ups in manufacturing.

Sure enough the products receive a pretty “epic” name.  Introducing, The Epic L38G4 and L52G3 – designed to be all battery and allows you to take your camera anywhere, even under water.

With the Limefuel Epic series, the objective is to develop a high capacity battery solution for GoPro users who want to capture every moment of their exciting experiences.  Lin’s team found a way to design a battery that would offer high capacity but still have a small footprint, similar in size to the GoPro camera. Most importantly, the battery increases in juice without really compromising stock weight or bulk.

Limefuel Epic Series has been designed to be the only GoPro batteries you need. At 3800mAh for the L38G4 and 5200mAh for the L52G3, the Epic series will power your Hero 4, Hero 3 and Hero 3+ for up to 8 hours* on a single charge! Currently, these batteries are patents pending.

Each battery in the Epic Series is simple to use. The L38G4 and L52G3 easily fit into the GoPro battery slot, replacing the original battery and extending battery life. The L38G4 and L52G3 are charged through the GoPro camera via USB, as you would charge the original battery.

The Epic L38G4 and L52G3 will include two waterproof extended back covers (safe to 131’/40M and 197’/60M) to keep both battery and camera secure while filming. As with all Limefuel batteries, the Epic Series is made with high quality components and circuitry providing protection against overcharge, short circuit and over discharge.
