On January 3, 2015 approx. 2 thousand firefighters were called on to fight the blaze in Adelaide Hills, South Australia.  One firefighter captures the severity of the situation on GoPro.

Ben Wilson is a firefighter in South Australia. He equipped himself with a GoPro HERO to film in the perspective of his fire team, and how to overcome the blazing adversity.

The video shows massive destruction caused by the fire in Adelaide Hills.  Already, more than 1,000 homes are without power in Southwest Adelaide.  Caught on GoPro is the burning down of homes and destruction of the plains. Strong winds brought down trees in parts of the state overnight.

The region is expecting some rain, which is going to provide basic assistance to fire crews.  According to locals, over 65 lightning strikes sparked nearly 70 fires across the land in the first week of January 2015.  Gratefully, most of the flames were extinguished by fire crews without physical harm.
