Taxco de Alarcón a.k.a Taxco is a small town located in Guerrero, Mexico. The name Taxco is most likely derived from the Nahuatl word tlacheco, which means “place of the ballgame.” The main attraction to this hill town is a high waterfall near the city center on Atatzin Mountain. Once a year, all heads turn to one of the world’s biggest DH events – The Taxco DH.
Chris Van Dine was recently featured on GoPro’s Video of the week. He’s got a disarming characteristic which throws his passions off the hill said by all those who cross his path. He donates his time to a host of charity organizations all around the world. Van Dine is one of the few who anchors the ladder after he climbs it and continually bridges gaps with his ethos and integrity. A true ambassador for the sport and brands he represents, Van Dine travels the world riding for health, adventure and life.
Chris Van Dine was seen at the Taxco Downhill event, notably one of the most renowned venues for the Urban Race scene. Courses used in competition typically feature several “lines” through or around the most difficult obstacles. For example, the “A line” might be a very direct line with a large jump landing on rocks, the “B line” might be a smaller jump with a clear landing, and the “C line” might completely avoid the obstacles, but are often much longer sets.
According to Van Dine’s website, there are more videos to come of him launching himself all over the world.
