GoPro was invited to be a part of the production and traveled to Mexico to capture footage of Blue Whales on HERO3+ cameras for what became the opening sequence for the film.

According to GoPro,  collaboration existed with Louie Psihoyos, director of the Academy Award winning film, “The Cove,” on his new movie, “Racing Extinction.” The environmental documentary, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this week, focuses on humanity’s effect on species across the world and delivers an alarming look at the thousands of species that are close to extinction due to human activity.
